@TheSuperiorHux@FN_finntastic "You're right. Can you clear a room in the upper corridors for that one night? We'll send him out tomorrow anyway after he's had some rest. We can make it look like the mission "just came up" as we just promoted him. It could be his first test run in the new position..?"

For once, the alert didn't interrupt her classes or workout. The droid found her in her quarters, beeping the encrypted sequence to let her know about FN's awakening.
She couldn't help but feel excited.-
@TheSuperiorHux@FN_finntastic "We could send him back to his old quarters. Since his comrades have been relocated, the room could be all his.", she started. "Unless you want to bring him somewhere more private. It's the girl's last day, we're not going to keep him here much longer anyway - a night, I'd say."
@TheSuperiorHux@FN_finntastic Her head turned ever so slightly into Laylah's direction when the red-haired General almost called FN by his former name. Luckily, she had recovered just in time and watching FN-2187 also came back with a positive result - no reaction from him.
She sighed in relief.
@FN_finntastic@TheSuperiorHux When he got up and had his back facing her, she addressed the concerned glance she caught from Laylah and gave a satisfied nod in response to the question so obvious on her face.
He didn't remember. Hah.
@FN_finntastic It was downright painful he was so obviously not remembering her. Not because he had forgotten Laylah - she couldn't care less about that - but because he was as easy to read as a book written in Basic.
"Let me actually get her here now."
And so she messaged @TheSuperiorHux.
@FN_finntastic good to send away. To be send back "home".
"We're going to meet General Laylah Hux.", she replied slowly, scanning his face for a reaction to the name. "In fact, she might join us in a few minutes. She's excited to finally meet you."
Another bait, another bite?
@FN_finntastic To say she was pleased with the outcome of her plan would be an understatement. Just as expected - or hoped - he had taken the bait instead of seeing all the flaws surrounding it.
Now she just had to find out some last few details about what he might remember and he would be-
@FN_finntastic endeavour and she leaned forward almost conspiratorially.
"At least in public areas. I think after the dinner I mentioned you should call me Phasma - like most higher rank personnel."
It was just too enticing, wasn't it? This implication. It would keep his mind busy, too.
@FN_finntastic "I also was promoted to General after the incident on Jakku.", she added when she finished the main story. "So this is what you will address me with from now on."
The smile on her lips was real now, thinking about how she had effectively promoted herself for the sake of this-
@FN_finntastic "But also planet-side. I'm not sentimental about losing members if they prove to be a weak link rather than an asset to our cause but I'm also not one to give up on capable personnel. Such as you, FN-2187."
Only now she paused, giving him time to respond- if he would be able to.
@FN_finntastic Being aware of how unlikely her last statement sounded, she quickly moved on without waiting for him to show a reaction.
"You know I wouldn't do this for anyone. But your engagement that day made me realise you /are/ the best one in our unit. Not just in the simulations."-
@FN_finntastic "you had even reached him. And yet you just kept going.", another smile under the helmet to transfer into her voice, making her sound as proud as she could be about the "officer material" FN-2187 used to be before the mission on Jakku.
She would make him feel like he still was.
@FN_finntastic If anything worked like a charm, within the First Order for every dutiful trooper it was praise. She made sure to give him just enough to still be believable, though barely.
It was risky, sure, but it would pay off in the end.
"He had hit you a few times already before"-
