SONY IS GONNA FALL !!!
Let’s look at the main purchasing power. Players over 30 years old. They generally have stable careers, disposable income and decades of gaming experience. They aren’t usually buying only two or three games a year. Many buy ten, twenty, or even more games annually across multiple platforms. They purchase consoles, accessories, collector’s editions, subscriptions, controllers and gaming hardware. They spend thousands of euros every year on their hobby.
Meanwhile, younger players are incredibly valuable too, but many are still in school, university or just starting their careers. Naturally, many focus on a handful of games such as Call of Duty, EA Sports FC, Fortnite, or similar live service titles that they play for hundreds of hours.
There’s nothing wrong with that.
But as a platform holder, you cannot build your entire long term strategy around players who are primarily loyal to individual games rather than to your platform. Cross-play has changed everything. If my friends can play with me regardless of platform, then choosing between PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or PC becomes much easier. Platform loyalty becomes weaker.
Customer experience becomes more important.
Now ask yourself this - what happens when you alienate the customers with the highest spending power?
They leave.

When it comes to physical games, ownership and the ability to be compensated for digital games that are removed🚀
There should be no “sides” but one. The side of common sense and basic consumer rights:
✅If I bought something, it’s mine to use forever
✅If I want to sell it or trade it, I can
✅If it’s intangible and can be taken away, then I should be fully compensated
✅If something exists as physical and digital, digital should automatically be cheaper
There is no room for compromise
And your loyalty towards corporations that don’t even see you will not be rewarded, but your strong stance against their predatory practices using your voice, your wallet and the law will.
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
Never forget that they always wanted to find ways to keep you connected and constantly paying for more🚀
✅First they tried to convince you single player games are dead
✅Then they tried to convince you games needed to normalize being always connected or expecting a roadmap of patches to fix or expand a game you paid for in full
✅Then they tried to convince you that physical games don’t sell, and they started counting DLC, MTX, free-to-play and digital-only games as “digital purchases”
✅Now they’re trying to convince you that gaming will eventually be streaming-only because that way you’d be paying for their games forever through a subscription that keeps going up in prices
Gaming used to be this memorable experience that you accessed as a whole on disc, and remembered forever
Now gaming is all about retaining you within an ecosystem where you keep paying forever and receive a drip feed of “content” in the form of generic slop “take this time saver for $5” or “take that shallow quest for free and then buy the skin for $15”.
They got used to this model, gradually they made you accept this so that your measure of quality becomes as shallow as possible, and you equate money’s worth with artificially inflated length.
And now the next step is subscribing for everything, including hardware you don’t own.
Enough is enough!
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
Today: "Discs aren't convenient, digital download is the way!"
Tomorrow: "Digital download isn't convenient, cloud streaming is the way!"
Next: "Why do I own nothing anymore?"
6 weeks after Sony announced they want to force everyone into a future without customer rights. The corpo apologists said the backlash will blow over quickly, yet these are the trending news topics on Twitter today. Almost like people are rightfully upset with the industry.
According to Digital Foundry, Microsoft is planning to continue supporting physical discs.
Their sources have told them that the company is planning to continue supporting discs and they're prioritizing backward compatibility.

Let’s not allow corporations to redefine what it means to buy something🚀
✅There should be no question that buying something means you get to own it forever and use it unhindered
✅We should not be paying prices of purchase for a glorified rental
✅If they can revoke or alter a product we bought at any time, then we should be able to refund at any time
✅Loving a game should not mean losing your sense of self respect and your rights as a customer, just so you can please a company’s predatory terms
Boycott. Speak out. Be loud and persistent.
