@whitney4texas@LP_CLC@BobFergusonGov So the Democrats should just give up on democracy in order to win then?
Maybe if the Democrats took a moral stand to actually live up to the rhetoric and defend fair representation, voters would respond positively?
On this Columbus Day, we remind you all of the history that progressives and conservatives would both prefer you didn't know:
#ColumbusDay is the only federal holiday that celebrates immigration.
What makes America great is that anyone who wants to be American can be American.
@AustinShiloh1@LP_CLC A voluntary co-op isn't social ownership of the means of production?
Beyond that, who are these socialists in the LP? It sounds like it's just people who disagree with you from what I can tell.
@AustinShiloh1@LP_CLC The NAP applies to people who want to initiate aggression.
Preferring to voluntarily share ownership of a co-op business or housing with your neighbors is not an NAP violation.
This is critical reading for anyone interested in affordable housing and impacts of state intervention.
Government subsidized units for "workforce housing" (affordable for people earning minimum wage) in Seattle have been sitting with 11% vacancy rate while homelessness surges.
Now these non-profit developers who depend on government bailouts are struggling to pay their loans. Raising rental prices to cover costs only increases the vacancy rate.
The city is now hoping private housing prices surge again as building slows due to higher interest

@JonathanPayne45 @Barney_Longden@LP_CLC@BillEckles04@LPNational I'm saying I don't want any of them drafting people to kill and destroy others.
And, since I believe that war brings out the most evil side of individual people, leaders and countries, those who initiate wars are to be condemned.
@BillEckles04@LP_CLC@LPNational None of that should justify war, though it's certainly valid to talk about when it comes to why US intervention is problematic.
In the end, Russia decided to invade. This is Putin's war and he is blood soaked. Putin has never wanted peace unless he could control Ukraine.
@Barney_Longden@LP_CLC@BillEckles04@LPNational The Libertarian position is that the US shouldn't intervene, but that isn't what the LP post is about. It's focus is on blaming Ukraine.
One should ask *why* was Ukraine "bled dry"? Oh right, because Russia invaded them. Whatever Russia's justification, they started the war.
The idea that Blackrock is the reason housing is expensive is the economically illiterate take I could imagine.
They own like .1% of stock, it's the zoning that makes housing expensive. When prices can't show scarcity, there will be high prices.
Americans must never take for granted our cultural and Constitutional protection of free speech.
We must never allow authoritarians to erode it.
The last time we retweeted someone getting arrested for holding a blank sign, they were in Moscow.
