Late high school and all of college I worked at target, and they just openly admitted understaffing gave them bonuses based off saved payroll. They’d have the smallest skeleton crew possible, then get mad when you couldn’t maintain 4-5 sections of the store at the same time.

Chase the live service trend all you want and pass that cost off to your existing consumer base I guess, but as it stands the PlayStation I enjoyed a decade ago is as good as gone, and I’ll probably not even consider a PS6.

I have not turned on my PS5 since DS2 last year, and with Sony no longer willing to sell me games on my preferred platform, they better do something worthwhile to make me care about my PS5, because as it stands I just straight up don’t care lol.

Passed on yotei, passed on saros, have enough to play to care about paying 70 for them, and the fact they’ll never come to PC and go on a steam sale there just means I’ll likely never play them. I am not the intended PS customer anymore and I am fine with that.

I work at an ISP, and large places have better infrastructure but still face outages commonly and the fact is these companies don’t staff in a way that these things can be resolved quickly, much less if you add natural disasters. For PS players sakes, hope it’s reversed.

Stuff like this is only gonna become more common in the console space. I already think console digital games are stupid purely because it’s locked to whatever the frame rate and resolution the game was developed for unless they patch or “remaster” it, but this really adds to it.

Hugely terrible DRM has now been rolled out to all PS4 and PS5 digital games. Every digital game you buy now requires an online check-in every 30 days. If you buy a digital game and don't connect your console to the internet for 30 days, your license will be removed.

I’m not a fan of digital games, but if I have to have them, I’d rather be able to crank the settings up and run them at higher frame rates when I get new hardware, not wait for a patch to unlock or to be resold the game with those features for 10-70 dollars.
