Doing all the research to find out what time of day posting has the highest amount of reach based on your following’s time zones , which captions generate the most engaging responses specifically with your audience , which groups are the most beneficial to promote in, what angles and lighting settings create the most appealing outcome , what order to retweet your media in after doing drops to repeatedly spark interest as people browse through your page, - knowing which platforms to upload your media to and what niche you fall under, learning how to avoid suspension and shadow banning, providing media that is interesting and posing on a consistent basis , ensuring your looks don’t drastically change to prevent a loss in audience satisfaction - while simultaneously keeping your appearance new and fresh so nobody gets bored. Your layouts, your vernacular, your menu, your consistency in audience engagement… it all needs to be regularly upgraded. Do you know which creators are safe to work with? Are you doing collabs? What are the laws in your state / country for full service sex work or for filming porn? Do you have anyone to protect you should you be working with another talent? Do you have a pre-existing concept how self employed taxes work? Are you prepared to lose 20-50% of your earnings in taxes and platform fees? If your platforms are nuked- are you stable enough to start up again? Can you afford the loss? Do you know which banks will shut down your accounts for doing sexwork? Are you complying with every platforms individual TOS? Do you know how often you will be denied applications for a loan or a vehicle or housing situation solely because of your source of income? Be prepared to lose friends and family because they WILL stop seeing you as a person. Be prepared to lose many job opportunities because they WILL stop seeing you as employable. This doesn’t happen to everyone, but that doesn’t mean it won’t happen to you. And by the way how are you with handling deadlines? Do you have all of your content labeled, and organized so it’s easily accessible? Are you staying up to date on platform algorithm and so you have a DMCA to protect your stolen content? it’s all work. Every aspect of it is work, and you have to do your own analysis of your own data to figure it out unless you can hire people to do it for you.

We do it all through trial and error while being shit on by our peers , and being hunted by dangerous unstable individuals with severe issues- it’s really not quick easy money and while this isn’t intended to scare you away from sexwork- it’s just the reality of it. It’s a full time job, and it’s often not safe. It’s quite a bit different than just posting a butthole picture and getting stacks. Idk, that’s my soapbox for the day I guess.
