@luciascarlet@finitecrystal Pfff, the more your look into American carriers, the worse it gets.
Even if you buy unlimited data, you also have 'prioritized' (fast) data, and deprioritized data, pretty sure there's multiple tiers as well. Usually you get a pretty limited amount.
@qsc_nil@mweinbach It's built on Qualcomm tech, the 8 gen 3 and later support it, it just has to be enabled with a software update. Give other audio brands some time to make more wifi earbuds and more brands will turn it on.
@0mafan@mweinbach They are built on Qualcomm technology, with the Qualcomm S7 pro sound chip, expect more wifi earbuds from brands very soon. These are just the first.
@FishingAdam @KnightRaV1NNet @vbbernard@Apple Look, I hate this 'elon musk' haters without any logic just as much as anyone else, but that's besides the point.
You're acting like an 13 year old high school girl who thinks iPhones are some superior product, without considering that not everyone has the same needs.
@FishingAdam @KnightRaV1NNet @vbbernard@Apple What are you even talking about now? There are literally dozens if not hundreds of people saying they're switching, lol.
It's not a 'superior' product, your just prefer it, the same way Samsung phones aren't a superior product, some people just prefer them.
@FishingAdam @KnightRaV1NNet @vbbernard@Apple You may prefer iPhones over Samsung phones, but iPhones are in no way 'lightyears ahead', they're just your preferred product, just like how others may prefer a Samsung phone. That has nothing to do with the quality, just preferences. Get your head out of your ass.
@FishingAdam @KnightRaV1NNet @vbbernard@Apple Sureeee, Samsung phones are soooo unusable, that's why people pay more money for Samsung phones than iPhones, cause they're so far behind.
@BlueElectric05@sondesix It's based on a SnapDragon chip! So we can expect more of these wifi earbuds in the coming months, hopefully. These are the first, though, so we'll have to see if it's any good
@That_Kartikey After doing a bit more research: XPAN (the wifi thing) appears to be mentioned on both the elite and gen 3 processor, but it may require a software toggle....
@That_Kartikey I wonder if you need a specific Snapdragon SOC for the wifi transmission, rlly hope my S24U can do it....
At least 1 article mentioned you needing a specific phone, with the new xiaomi being one of them....
