@NZGreens Money flows up (and NEVER down) into the pockets of the rich for lots of reasons and pools there as we can see . Of course we should take more out at the top and put it in lower down - it will make its way back - the well off need to get on top of their fear.
@AJCamp007 @__Sharon______@harrison_mcevoy@NZQandA@WhenaOwen@OtautahiMike We have no evidence that they will in fact be a disruptor - Top are unproven and their policies for this election (at least those articulated thus far) don't seem that disruptive ....
This should be the biggest story on the planet.

@AitkesAndPains Only one? Reckon we could use at least two and better still, four for getting out and back to Rolleston and Rangiora picking people up and dropping them off along the way.
In Wellington today. How are you all coping with Jervois Quay? Khandallah? So many non-English words. How does anyone know where to go? This stuff is hard.
ALL signs have English names on them - a few at the moment also have Māori names and why not? It is a great way to learn more of them ... We are living in 2023 guys and bilingualism is a thing in most places in the world. https://t.co/IFk2bByyaf
@NZQandA@WhenaOwen Oh no - How come you are not talking to the Green Candidate Mike Davidson? What is the deal here guys? The Greens actually have a reasonable following in this electorate
Water privatisation - failed
Rail privatisation - failed
Financial deregulation - failed
Austerity - failed
Brexit - failed
Conservative promises of a better future have a habit of ending in chaos and disaster.
Trickle up is a thing (not trickle down as many would have you believe). Taxing the rich (where the money collects) is important if we want our economy to function properly. Trickle up will ensure they don't suffer from paying the same tax as the rest of us!
Last week’s Budget could have ended poverty, but the Govt chose not to. Multi-multi-multi millionaires and billionaires pay less half the effective tax rate as frontline workers, nurses, and teachers.
That is not fair. And NZ’ers know it.

It's kinda shocking how many economists still think banks 'lend out' deposits, rather than recognising that what we call 'bank lending' is the act of banks *creating deposits*, and that those 'deposits' are - in reality - digital casino chips
@AllanTaunt @TimFWelch @urbantui horrors. Yes people make mistakes but I wonder if that driver has ever been passed in the same way himself? When that happens to me it feels like they are just toying with your life - I wonder if they'd pass their own kids the same way or their partner or mum or dad?
