Our recent JAMA Internal Medicine study, the EXECT-CPR RCT, found no survival benefit of TEE-guided CPR in OHCA with ongoing CPR on ED arrival, but post-intervention ETCO₂ was higher.

In our unpublished RCT comparing TEE-guided CPR (targeting the LV) to conventional CPR, no increased risk of rib fractures or hemo-/pneumothorax was found from compressions over the left chest.
