Day 4 of walking from the UK to Vietnam 🇬🇧🚶♂️➡️🇻🇳
I was just over halfway to London. My feet were covered in huge blisters. I was wearing the wrong shoes, cheap gear, and absolutely no idea what I was doing!
I genuinely thought I was prepared. Looking back now… I couldn’t have been more wrong! I was totally unprepared, but that was the beauty of the trip.
Somehow , that naive belief that I could walk across the world was enough to keep me moving forward. I think thats all you need, and no matter what others tell you, keep going.
Now, 600+ days later, after 7500 kilometres, difficult borders, endless setbacks, visa issues, brutal weather, sleeping outside, the list could go on….
I’m almost halfway to Vietnam.
Crazy what can happen when you refuse to stop.
Back on the road. Any comfort that we knew for the previous 7000km is completely out of the window now. The next 3300km are going to be a challenge, let’s do this! #UKtoVietnam#ChubbyTrekka#LukeDeakin#Adventure#Travel
Spent the day with kettik_mangystau exploring the desert and getting to know the terrain! This gave us the chance to test out all of our equipment before heading into the desert tomorrow for 3300km. Let’s do this #UKtoVietnam#ChubbyTrekka#LukeDeakin#Adventure#Travel
Im walking from England to Vietnam. Here’s the route Ive taken so far! Each day, I mark where I camp. It doesn’t feel like much in the moment, but when I zoom out, I can see just how far Ive come! Insane. Long way to go!
One year together ❤️ We’ve already been through more in 12 months than most couples do in a lifetime… and we’ve still got 10,000km left to walk from the UK to Vietnam 🇬🇧🚶♂️🇻🇳 #UKtoVietnam#ChubbyTrekka#LukeDeakin#Adventure#Travel
