I realized I’ve been posting away without a proper introduction. I go by Chubs, and boxing has been my life for as long as I can remember here in Puerto Rico.

For me, it’s more than just putting on the gloves. I’m a student of the game—from boxing history and technical training to the current landscape of the sport. 📚✨

The Goal: If I don’t go PRO, I’m aiming to be a trainer, journalist, and promoter. I’m only 20, so I’m taking my time to learn every angle of this business!

I've been posting about the Atomweights because they don't always get the mainstream spotlight, but these ladies are incredible athletes and deserve the recognition. I’m here to make sure they get it!

Your definitely not wrong😅.its a tall order. But one that Inoue already has had in mind for a while.
He can either stay at 122 and end his career there, only maybe taking 2 or 3 more fights. It would still be a hall of fame career.

Or he can try for glory at 126 featherweight.
Its a risk, but if he pulls it off it would be legendary.
he be the first 5 weight champ in history! (that i can recall)

He dont have too move up.
But he might risk it

I dont mind that the dudes unknown.
Unknown dont mean bad fight.
A lot of title fights are like that. But you cant convince me that he was a mandatory, top contender, or wanted by any fans.
Theres like 2 more dudes in the undercard more deseeving of that shot. AND ONE OF EM ALREADY BEAT THIS DUDE😭

All respect to Xander. Had me and my family jumping yelling in spanish at the screen when he hurt boots.
But he definitely didn't fight his fight. He's not a brawler, he's not a puncher. I was shocked he even hurt boots honestly.
Hope to see him come back stronger and more mature.

Daigo Higa comes back from a short retirement for a 4th title shot!!! YEAAAAH!!!
ok it may not be sanctioned as a WBA title fight yet. because they wanted to cut down on titles. will they do it?
....
Naaaaah probably not. less titles means less money.
plus, if sanctioned as a title fight, Higa might be the 1st boxer in history to actually get 4 title shots in a row😭
is it unfair and dumb? absolutely.
am i down for it? hell yeah.
he's always in a good fight.

Atomweight News!
WIBA Atomweight Champ Esneidy "La Leona" Rodriguez🇲🇽 comes back to Veracruz Mexico on September 19th against the formidable boxer from Japan, Marina Loreto🇯🇵!

Rodriguez's last fought against former champ Eri Matsuda and won a war comfortably on the score cards, finally showing that she's on the world level!

Loreto is also coming off a great war against the now WBO champion Gabriela Timar. Even though she came up short, Loreto showed great heart and improvement in her skills as she gave Timar all she could handle.

Will Rodriguez show once more that she is world level, and get a fight with one of the 4 champs if she wins?
or will Loreto bounce back stronger than before and reach another title shot?

also, this fight is for the IBO title too. I think it's the first time the IBO has put a title in Atom weight. so very excited for that!
