To the White House,

Many Americans are increasingly frustrated by what they see as a disconnect between Washington's priorities and the concerns of everyday citizens.

Day after day, the public hears about stock market gains, economic indicators, job reports and investor confidence. While those measures may matter to economists, large corporations, and Wall Street, they do not necessarily reflect the realities facing working Americans. A rising stock market does not bring back lives lost in war, restore stability to conflict zones, or ease the anxiety many citizens feel as international tensions continue to escalate.

The American people want leadership focused on achieving peace, protecting American interests, and bringing an end to ongoing conflicts. They want diplomacy pursued with urgency, clear objectives communicated honestly, and decisive action taken when necessary. Many are less concerned with whether the Dow Jones Industrial Average rises a few hundred points and more concerned with whether the world is becoming safer or more dangerous.

The message from many citizens is simple: stop celebrating market fluctuations while major international crises remain unresolved. Focus on ending the war. Focus on protecting American service members, allies, and national security. Focus on achieving lasting peace and stability.

Economic success is important, but it is not the only measure of national success. History will not judge this moment by stock market charts. It will judge it by whether leaders rose to meet the challenges before them and whether they delivered security, stability, and peace.

Mr. President, we have been patient long enough with Iran and endless negotiations. The time for waiting has passed. The time to act is now. It is also time to stop listening to advisors who do not share your vision or put America’s interests on this matter first.
