“THE ONE, BIG, BEAUTIFUL BILL” has PASSED the House of Representatives! This is arguably the most significant piece of Legislation that will ever be signed in the History of our Country! The Bill includes MASSIVE Tax CUTS, No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, Tax Deductions when you purchase an American Made Vehicle, along with strong Border Security measures, Pay Raises for our ICE and Border Patrol Agents, Funding for the Golden Dome, “TRUMP Savings Accounts” for newborn babies, and much more! Great job by Speaker Mike Johnson, and the House Leadership, and thank you to every Republican who voted YES on this Historic Bill! Now, it’s time for our friends in the United States Senate to get to work, and send this Bill to my desk AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! There is no time to waste. The Democrats have lost control of themselves, and are aimlessly wandering around, showing no confidence, grit, or determination. They have forgotten their landslide loss in the Presidential Election, and are warped in the past, hoping someday to revive Open Borders for the World’s criminals to be able to pour into our Country, men to be able to play in women’s sports, and transgender for everybody. They don’t realize that these things, and so many more like them, will NEVER AGAIN happen!
"{27} Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." (James 1:27)
A few weeks ago we took the bus to town and visited Jo-Ann Fabrics — which is going bankrupt and will close soon. While my wife shopped, I sat and read a book, and I overheard a conversation between an elderly cashier and a customer.
“Will you be alright, you know, losing this job?”
“Oh yes,” the cashier said. “I have a pension from my old career. I only work this job to stay social. Once we’re closed for good, who knows if I’ll see half my friends again.”
And then I looked around and noticed something. Yes, the little old ladies were rifling through the piles of discount fabric — but only halfheartedly. What they were really doing was talking. Some stayed as long as an hour, laughing and chatting and gossiping.
Of course this would be the case. There’s no longer a coffee hour at half the Churches; the younger generation doesn’t host dinners and get-togethers half as often as they would’ve even 20 years ago. It’s cold outside; in winter, the sidewalks are badly plowed. There’s virtually no heated, indoor daytime social spaces anywhere around here.
The options are to sit at home or mill around at Jo-Ann Fabrics. Now that that’s closing, there will be a lot more lonely old ladies around here.
I will always be confounded by the death of public space in America. It’s a thing we all want, but quite often can’t seem to achieve outside the domain of corporate commerce.
WATCH: Scott Adams describes the personal call Trump made to him after finding out about his diagnosis
“Scott, if you need anything, I will make it happen”
@calico1209 Well I hope we have that long to evangelize the world ... But
MATT 24:36
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
MATT 24:42
“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
@Colin_S_Werkman 3) Lastly this was tried before in Western Europe under the Holy Roman Emperors. This resulted in the Holy Inquisition, the Crusades, and the split of the reformation.
Maybe we need a set of American values that would be acceptable to all faiths? 🤔
@Colin_S_Werkman 2) USA church attendance dropped for all faiths last 70 years. Only Atheist and undeclared grew. 😥
We need to fix the spiritual problems before we consider a national identity...
