This President came into office same time as one President of an assumed โgiant of Africaโ. Both countries face almost similar economic woes. One is gradually uplifting his country out of trouble visibly, while the other is still dancing azonto.
The threat by the Governor of Edo State and now followed by another from the APC Chairman of the state against Peter Obi needs to be taken seriously and addressed frontally. And I mean FEARLESSLY!!!!
These charlatans must be made to understand that Nigeria still practices democracy and such reckless statements must carry adequate consequences.
We will start today with the submission of Travel Ban petitions to several Diplomatic Missions, followed by another to the Police Headquarters.
All citizens of goodwill must rise up and make sure touts and thugs donโt desecrate our electoral process with hooliganism.
Good morning.
"Peter Obi cannot come to Edo State without permission because of the intense hรขtred many of us, including myself, have for him.Thereโs a deep-rooted hรฅtred for him in this state, and anyone who stands in our way will be smoked out"๐คฏ๐ณ๐
-Jarret Tenebe, Edo APC Chairman
What other definition of a primitive society can you conjure in your head? This is happening in a 21st century Anambra State, headed by a first-class Professor of Economics.
If the goal was to take power from the ruling party, and Tinubu was in opposition, he would have supported Peter Obi in 2027. Hate him, or love him, Tinubu understands power dynamics and the politics of Nigeria.
In 2015, he knew that Buhari had the goodwill of the masses, and he aligned with him. He would have done the same with Obi in 2027.
That is something the opposition should learn from Tinubu.
I am wondering why the Igbo apex group, Ohaneze Ndi Igbo, is yet to release a statement about the threat to life of the current most prominent Igbo man in Nigeria @PeterObi.
Similar situation had happened in Benue
State, now Edo State.
What is this thing about our Igbo leaders that they canโt speak up when it matters?
What is this cowardice all about?
I echo the birthday wishes from the former Speaker, Governor and current Senator from Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, @AWTambuwal
