You can see Sneako's racial insecurity bulging out every time he brings up this topic. Sneako's racial background is so thoroughly mixed that no single group feels like a natural home, he can't settle into one identity and claim it as his own, no matter how much he might want to. So religion becomes the entire foundation of his belonging, the one axis of identity he can fully commit to.

However despite this, he clearly still has an inferiority complex when it comes to White People, that is why he tried to suck up to Fuentes and Keith Woods, and got later on rejected by their whole crowd because he wasn't White. So now he is sucking up to Bosniaks, because they are the only White People who would entertain the idea of accepting him as one of their own due to some Islamic Solidarity.

He tries to play this off as being just a faith thing, but deep down if you really squint your eyes, it's entirely motivated by his racial insecurity and inferiority complex.
