My candid advice to anyone who is at the verge of choosing an IT Skills.

Firstly, be geographically aware, and know how handy the skill can be

Secondly, check if the skill require data privacy and security ctrl

lastly, research to know if you need a second degree to support

Sometimes, when I want to pursue another career and my passion for data science keeps drawing me back.

The fact that here in Nigeria they hardly differentiate Data science, data analysis and data engineering is killing.

And if i opt for a remote job in data science, MSc is Req

You can build websites with relatively little training. It’s much harder to build machine learning models.

I built my first website after two weeks of learning+coding back in 2000-ish. It wasn’t a masterpiece, but it was functional and I got paid for it.

It took me several months before I was able to build a working neural network that didn’t overfit (by “building”, I mean, fully understanding what I was doing.)

The entry barrier to web development is considerably lower than to machine learning.
