On Wednesday the first budget of this Labour Government was announced.

We were pleased by some of the changes - but concerned about the levels of poverty across the UK, which this budget could have done more to address.

It was a pleasure to welcome the CEOs of the Mission Societies to Lambeth Palace for a rich and insightful conversation. Leaders from the @MothersUnion, @USPGglobal, @cmsmission, @ChurchArmy, the Intercontinental Church Society, and Crosslinks joined together, representing a rich diversity of traditions and perspectives.

Our discussions spanned a range of important topics, including the global political situation, social cohesion here in the UK, and reflections on issues from our past that we must continue to address. Grateful for the opportunity to share in this meaningful dialogue
