Today, a farewell service was held for the Archbishop Graham as he departs his see of Canterbury. The service was held at Westminster Abbey and the Archbishop had the pleasure of welcoming His Royal Highness, the Prince of Wales.

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of meeting the newly elected Pope Benedict XVII. We discussed His Holiness' plans for the Catholic Church and the future relations between our churches with my departure as Archbishop.

The Holy Father wants to thank the Church of England Archbishop Graham Powell for his service to the Church and wishes him good luck for the future. The Archbishop developed strong ties between both Churches which have lead to a close bond that will remain.

Today, the Archbishop of Canterbury met with the Pope and Bishops from the Serbian and Romanian Orthodox Churches to discuss the formation of a World Council of Churches.

Yesterday, the Archbishops and members of the clergy conducted the Coronation of His Majesty, King George. King George was crowned by the Archbishop of Canterbury, GrahamPowell.

The Duke of Connaught attended the ANZAC Day Service at Palmerston North, New Zealand and laid a wreath at the city's Cenotaph.

Later today, The King will lay a wreath at the Cenotaph in London to mark the same occasion.

Yesterday, the Archbishop of Canterbury led a St George's Day service at The Chapel Royal of St Peter ad Vincula. The service was attended by The Dukes of Cambridge and Connaught.

St George's Day, marks the day he died in 303 AD. St George is the patron saint of England.
