Scripture tells us in Matthew 1:21 “She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.” Jesus was sent here to save people from themselves. What an incredible blessing shared by all who believe.

After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.” - Matthew 2:1-2

Lord our God, you have sent light to shine on earth and have revealed your heavenly power in Jesus Christ, so that in spite of all the darkness and evil we may rejoice because we have a Savior. Father we thank you for your blessings in Jesus Name. Amen.

Scripture tells us in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” What a gift to be shared by a loving God who wants to have a relationship with you and I.

Christmas scriptures focused on the gift of Jesus Christ and they remind us, that no matter what’s going on in the world around you, that God is above it all and He loves you.

You can experience the peace of God during the busy holiday season by pausing to remember the reason for the season. As the Bible says; “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Maintaining hope and your faith in God on darker days can be an incredibly difficult feat, but that doesn't mean the Lord loves you less or that you can't find prayer once again.

Within the over one thousand pages that compromise the Bible, there are many verses that speak on life lessons and wellness. One of my favorite passages says; “Be happy in your hope, stand your ground when you’re in trouble, and devote yourselves to prayer.” - Romans 12:12

Scripture reminds us in Romans 15:4 the the Bible is just as relevant today as when it was written. "For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope."

Father, give us strength as a gathered people ready to serve you. Grant us your Spirit whenever we do not understand what we should do. Shelter us always in your hands, and allow us to see your miracles in souls and in bodies. We ask these things in Jesus Name. Amen.

Psalm 121:1-2 tells us - “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” There’s power in the name of the Lord…

We see a similar message in Joshua 1:9 which says; "Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." God wants you to stand with Him. He wants to empower you.

Let us pray. Father, strengthen our hearts today through your Word. Keep us from becoming confused by present-day events. Help us to remain free, that we may serve you and not be led astray, no matter what happens in the world. We ask this in Jesus name. Amen.
