In 2008, among self-identified evangelicals:
3% said that they never attended religious services.
13% reported 'seldom' attendance.
In 2023, among self-identified evangelicals:
10% said that they never attended religious services.
17% reported 'seldom' attendance.
The Southern Baptist Convention is easily the largest denomination in the United States.
12.9 million members.
But they've lost 3M+ since 2006, and there's no reason to think that will stop in the near future.
That just don't dominate the Bible Belt like they used to.
