Bonjour Year 7 French students! Remember 5th November is the deadline for the deposit (via Scopay) to secure a place on the Normandy, France trip (May half term). It is a fabulous opportunity to practise your French, experience French culture and history as well as to have fun!
MFL welcomed Year 3 students to Churchdown School this morning. Fun was had by all using green screen technology to perform French dialogues in 'Paris' and singing with enthusiasm in French too! Merci to Year 3, their teachers and our Year 9 helpers!

Last night's Open Evening was interactive and fun! Virtual trips to Spain, Germany and France via our selfie photo booth, the Year 7 MFL Singing Group performing in French, and 'carpet boules'. Très bien / Estupendo / Wunderbar!
26th September is European Day of Languages! We are celebrating in school on Friday 24th with some fun activities. Watch this space and listen carefully in assembly next week 😊

It's the Eurovision Song Contest this Saturday 22nd May. A fabulous way to enjoy different languages, cultures and music styles. If you want to revise countries or numbers in French watch the scoring at the end! Have a great weekend everyone!
Year 9 students have been having fun doing escape room challenges using breakout rooms on Microsoft Teams as a GCSE MFL taster activity this week. Great teamwork and resilience shown and lots of fun had by all! Well done!
February is traditionally carnival season in France, Germany and Spain. Sadly celebrations are on hold this year but how about having a go at making a carnival mask or researching some facts about the celebrations? Send us a photo of your findings and / or creations!
It has been great to see our students adapt and grow in confidence these last few weeks. In @ChurchdownMfl students have been using Breakout Rooms in Teams to practise their speaking skills. A good example of one of the school values in action!
