@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Yeah good luck with that when a screen shot gets used and shared and you can’t clarify points. Enjoy not swaying anyone to your areas of thought 👍
🚨 It’s 2:45 a.m. in Iran, and here are my 14 detailed key observations from Day 16 of the nationwide uprising [January 12]:
1⃣ Iran’s nationwide protests have entered their sixteenth day amid a near-total internet blackout—now affecting even limited Starlink access—making it extremely difficult to send videos out of the country. Despite this, at least two verified videos have emerged from Tehran, showing large crowds once again taking to the streets in the capital. Another video shows a large gathering of families of those killed at Behesht-e Zahra cemetery chanting “Seyed Ali (Khamenei) will be overthrown” Additional videos are circulating online, but at this stage I cannot independently verify them.
2⃣ Around 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time, videos from the previous day surfaced indicating widespread protests in Urmia, Ahvaz, and Gorgan. More footage from today’s demonstrations is expected to emerge as time passes.
3⃣ Iran’s internet shutdown has now exceeded 100 hours, with serious disruptions even affecting Starlink connections. This marks an unprecedented communications blackout. Meanwhile, regime-affiliated media outlets continue to enjoy privileged internet access. Observers inside Iran warn that the prolonged shutdown is inflicting severe and escalating economic damage on the regime itself.
4⃣ Limited messages received—from individuals who exited the country today or through text-based communications from inside Iran—suggest that localized protests are continuing in some neighborhoods, particularly between 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. These messages also report that security forces in Tehran are going door to door, entering residential apartment buildings and confiscating satellite dishes.
5⃣ In an exclusive report, Fox News cited its sources as saying protests are ongoing in Isfahan, Iran’s third-largest city. Iranian-American journalist Roxana Saberi has also said she received messages from Iran indicating a high number of killed and wounded being brought to hospitals.
6⃣ According to Saberi, eyewitness testimony relayed by a doctor, indicate that security forces pressed a gun to a woman’s back and shot her at point-blank range. The eyewitness reported that children are being deliberately targeted to deter parents from bringing them to protests. Victims with direct gunshot wounds, bullets to the buttocks, and even stab wounds have been brought in for treatment. One injured man was reportedly told, “Let your Shah come and save you.”
7⃣ Iran’s police chief appeared on state television and once again issued open threats, declaring: “We will arrest the terrorists to the very last one.” The regime’s Ministry of Intelligence also claimed it had arrested 15 individuals allegedly linked to Iran International and Manoto for sending videos abroad.
8⃣ State media has broadcast forced confessions, including claims that “Zionists” instructed detainees to shoot protesters in the head. Iran’s foreign minister, without presenting evidence, alleged that protesters were told from abroad to kill police—and if not possible, civilians—to raise the death toll and provoke international military intervention.
9⃣ At the same time, regime media heavily promoted pro-government rallies, claiming three million people turned out in support. During these events, Ali Larijani dismissed Donald Trump as someone who “talks too much and should not be taken seriously.” The regime’s parliament speaker called Trump a “delusional gambler,” while the president labeled the United States and Israel as “criminal.” Protesters were also compared to ISIS, with state media claiming they had “outdone the Mongols.”
🔟A pro-regime analyst on state TV called for financial damages to be extracted from celebrities who support the protests. In another case, authorities announced that a factory owner in Tehran who encouraged workers to protest would have his factory confiscated. A senior security official again labeled the protests as “terrorism” and promised that “terrorists” would soon be unveiled.
11. Internationally, condemnation of the regime’s actions continues to grow. Donald Trump threatened Iran’s economic partners with a 25% tariff, while reports of possible negotiations with the regime have alarmed Iranian activists, who warn that Tehran seeks only to buy time under pressure. Still, experts argue that a behind-the-scenes deal is unlikely, pointing to Trump’s posture and rising speculation about imminent military action against the regime.
12. Messages of support from the Trump administration toward Iranian protesters have increased, and Iranian activists have repeatedly emphasized the need to target the regime’s repression apparatus and top decision-makers.
13. Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi, in a public message, stated: “We are not alone. Global assistance is coming. Wait for my next messages. We will soon reclaim our beloved Iran from the Islamic Republic.” In a subsequent interview, he confirmed that he is in contact with President Trump’s administration.
14. Outlook: Protests are expected to continue at least into tomorrow in Tehran and several other cities. Due to the ongoing internet blackout, obtaining a clear real-time picture from inside Iran remains extremely difficult. Foreign intelligence services with assets on the ground may be able to release more reliable information. While the scale of protests has declined due to mass killings, localized demonstrations and activity in major cities persist. Based on incoming messages from inside Iran, public attention is increasingly focused on external assistance, and expectations in that regard are clearly rising.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC I’m giving advice that you can do better. But if you don’t care about actual changing minds, having a discussion or elevating your point so it’s not misunderstood and would rather bicker sarcasm on a serious topic. You do you then.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Misinterpreted because you didn’t just clearly articulate your point? A good point of discussion should not have to hide behind fallacy argument formats but can stand clearly on its own. Hence why I critiqued hers too. She did her point the same disservice. We all can do better.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Again this isn’t arguing this is pointing out something to you which you can either actively listen to and grow from or continue to not listen to what’s trying to be spoken to you and argue. Your point has validity why do it a disservice and hide it be hide a veil that can be…
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Definitely not what I said at all. So you know that’s not my point. So use comprehension and let me know what was actually stated above and then I’d be happy to have a discussion
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Dude you’re too busy trying to argue. You don’t know if I even agree with you or not, you’re just assuming cuz you want a fight. I was pointing out that your argument isn’t worded well as you literally end up agreeing with the premise in your statement. Do your point better
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC You tried to be witty in a rebuttal response instead of being effective in promoting/expressing a rebuttal position you hold. It’s a bad habit only bad debaters use. And I’m saying this as a pointer to you not a Dem/Rep bicker fest. You can do better to articulate your points
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC You literally state that you’d agree with the premise she set of people can drive through protesters if she also agreed protesters can in turn shoot back. So your argument is people can drive through other people and people can shoot back and you’re ok with that.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC I’m just saying that would be my analogy rebuttal I would use. You don’t need to be a threat btw. If I get pulled over for speeding or parking somewhere I’m not allowed to I can’t just drive through law enforcement addressing me on that issue. That’s the point of the analogy.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Plus your rebuttal was literally I agree with the premise so long as said protesters can shoot back. Again bringing it full circle that a person can drive through a person because they should just get out the way but if not they can shoot.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Stopped trying to drive away by running through/past the officer he should obviously have just stepped away every time and not employ any self defense or control of a situation of someone needing to be detained just leaving.
@fuzzywuzzy39@Sadie_NC Anyone with comprehension skills knows the argument she was making in rebuttal to folks still saying he should have just gotten out of the way. Truthfully I think it’s a weak argument when you could just rebuttal so if a traffic stop with police ends with the
