The fact that you can just get in a @Tesla, input your destination, start FSD with a button on your screen, then have the car literally take you anywhere you need to go all by itself never gets old.
I don’t see myself ever owning another car other than a Tesla for this reason.
Neuralink just shared that participants living with paralysis are now controlling a powered wheelchair using nothing but their thoughts. No joystick. Just intention.
Next up Neuralink will likely connect these individuals to an Optimus robot where they get complete independence, effectively telepresense – seeing and hearing, and ambulating through a robot. The singularity is really hear!
This is a fantastic article about @Tesla's FSD by The Detroit News:
"Determined to maintain their individual transportation independence, they are using Tesla’s hands-free FSD system as a driver assist. Though by no means exclusive to seniors in its ability to add another set of eyes to the road, FSD helps elderly drivers maintain a cocoon around their car as their confidence in reflexes and eyesight naturally deteriorate.
92-year-old Leonard Kraus uses Tesla FSD (Supervised) for 87% of his miles. He recommended Tesla FSD to his 95-year-old brother-in-law. “I don't think I would be driving without it.”
“It's as good a driver as I am,” said Dick Amacher, 78, a retired General Motors engineer from Rochester Hills who drives his Model Y and Model 3 on FSD 98% of the time. “Here's the thing, it will not go through a red light. It will not go through a stop sign. Every once in a while, I've driven through neighborhoods where stop signs were partially obscured by low hanging branches, for example. . . and (the Tesla) sees them before I do.”
Driving into Detroit, FSD exited the expressway near Wayne State. “All of a sudden the Tesla pulls over to the curb. I'm like: ‘what is going on?’” said the 78-year old. “Turns out there was an emergency vehicle coming from behind. FSD saw that it was an emergency vehicle before I did. It has vision in every direction simultaneously. A human being cannot replicate that.”

“If I died knowing that I did what was right or did my best to do what was right and even If in the history books they said I did wrong, I would still feel okay about that, I care about the reality of goodness and not the perception of it”

15 Cybercabs at Tesla's Charlotte, North Carolina showroom.
I have to imagine at this point that Tesla is approaching 1,000 Cybercab test vehicles around North America.

ELON MUSK: “One of the things that is overlooked by probably most historians is the role of low birth rate in the decline of civilizations.
Around 50 BC, Rome passed a bill to give a bonus to any Roman citizen that would have a third child. So a birth rate was a problem in Rome in 50 BC. The Romans weren’t making Romans. The same is true of ancient Greece.
The birth rate far exceeded the death rate, which is why you had Greek cities popping up all over the Mediterranean. But then it seems to be that prosperity destroys the birth rate. When a civilization feels like it has no meaningful external threat and is very prosperous, that is what causes the birth rate to plummet.”
🚨ABSOLUTE MIC DROP FROM ELON ON DOGE!!!!
Elon Musk: "ZERO died because of DOGE. Zero point zero!"
"When funding is stopped for a fraudulent organization, or for something do you think they're going to say,"Will you please keep funding the fraud!'
Or do you think they're going to come up with a sad story that sounds sympathetic in order to get the funding restored?
Obviously it will be the latter and that's exactly what they did!!!"
LIBERAL WHITE WOMAN: "The cuts certainly caused unnecessary suffering!"
Elon Musk: "No."
LIBERAL WHITE WOMAN: "You don't buy that at all?!"
Elon Musk: "It caused a lot of complaining!"
LIBERAL WHITE WOMAN: "You don't believe any kid in Africa died because of the suddenness with which...
Elon Musk: Zero! How many NGOs could step in? There are literally tens of thousands of NGOs. The Gates Foundation has FIFTY BILLION! What about them? What about any number of organizations?!"
ELON IS ON FIRE!!!!!!
Elon Musk on early days of SpaceX:
"When I started SpaceX, one of my friends got a compilation of rocket failures & made me watch the whole thing. I knew the probability of SpaceX failing was high"
Unlimited tolerance is how open societies commit suicide.
Elon Musk just warned that societies holding incompatible values eventually hit a reckoning. Karl Popper made the exact same point in 1945 while watching fascists and communists use open societies’ own tolerance against them.
Popper wrote that unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If a society keeps extending tolerance to people who openly want to destroy it and refuses to defend itself, the intolerant win and tolerance dies with them.
He never demanded censorship first. Argue with intolerant ideas. Suppress them only when they stop arguing and start using force.
80 years later Musk is asking the same question: how much can a tolerant society tolerate before it stops being one?
