Now I understand why people from Taraba state hardly go home. It’s like there’s no government at all in the state. Such a beautiful place with rubbish leadership.
Just completed my React food delivery web app!
This project pushed me beyond just building UI — I worked on API integration, product search, dynamic product details, cart functionality, quantity management, checkout, routing, responsive design, and deployment.
modern dating really shows you how little people give a fuck about your feelings, someone will talk to you every day, build a whole connection, make you feel seen, heard, and valued, and then switch up out of nowhere like none of that ever mattered, leaving you to sit there wondering how it was so easy for them to just not care.
I hate it when someone tells me, “it’s just xx Naira, you pass am” when I am trying to negotiate or when I’m complaining about the cost of something. You have absolutely no right especially when it’s not you who’s paying!!
I used to feel like this because in the past, voicing out my displeasure always led to “If this is how you feel, maybe we should end this…” so I was always on edge and unconsciously eventually started preparing my mind for the worst and even saying it too at some point because I wanted to beat them to it.
But now that I’ve found myself in a healthy relationship, I realized how abnormal that was. I get a “I’ll do better…”, I get reassurance and it’s so fucking beautiful 🥺🥺🥺
My nervous system is healing. When disagreements happen, I know we’ll fix it because I’m finally with someone who loves me insanely and thinks I’m worth fighting for. I’m not being loved like it’s a chore or a burden. I’m adored, literally.
I hope you find such a person to fall in love with too cos we really shouldn’t navigate life this. Disagreements are normal and shouldn’t mean the immediate end of a bond❤️
I don't believe in doing personal charity and making a spectacle of it. I find it silly (and even kinda humiliating) to gift people who are probably less privileged than I am, take photos of them, and post online. Whose validation are you really seeking?
The lady who did my hair at the salon today was so gentle that I started sleeping. I can't remember the last time I fell asleep while having my hair done. Actually, I don't think I ever have. I'm always so conscious because most stylists are terrible with natural hair.
I know I have said this before and it's common knowledge, but I will say it again. There's this calmness you get after drinking that kinda feels peaceful.
It will take me a long time to even consider attaching anything to my hair again. See the way fresh breeze has been blowing me, and my head doesn't feel like I have a heavy load on it. I also now sleep comfortably without struggling with hair that isn't even mine.
