hi! I’m a beginner artist teaching myself various art forms in my free time. my creations are still a long ways from professional, but if the artsy handmade look is your style, you’re in the right place! 😁

my hands are blue and purple now though lol. yes yes i know i should just wear the gloves the whole time but it seems like a waste when ive been an artist my whole life and have always had stained hands. it’s not toxic so who cares! 😊 i’d rather save the gloves for resin work
the second half of the shirts are in the wash now! they look SO COOL, way cooler than the first three imo. blues, purples, and a little magenta fuchsia action going on in there too hehe. excited!
first two shirt attempts which are waiting for their final wash in a week!
i obviously still have a lot to learn but im having fun :) i do not own the professional materials (like that huge canvas press thing) but i dont for my jewelry either so 🤷♀️ we make do!
also for transparency: these 6 shirts were bought new, NOT secondhand. i wanted to buy the best shirts i could for learning the tie dye method so id know if it was the fabric or my own error. my plan is to upcycle secondhand clothing 90% or more of the time going forward!
i have 3 more shirts soaking overnight and will be dyed tomorrow 😎 blues and purples! plus i’ll probably have pics of the stamped shirts to share tomorrow but they won’t be up for sale for a week as they have to finish curing + one final wash!
wow, the colors came out so vibrant! pardon my messy workspace hehe
i’m going to stamp at least one of these with my cicada stamp and then they have to wait a week to set/cure!
the shirts are rinsed and are now in the wash! they’re looking cool, i’m excited!
i only used 3 colors because each color bottle only lasts a short amount of time once mixed, and i didn’t want to waste any if i messed up. i’ll experiment with rainbowy stuff eventually!
i have my first three attempts at tie dying shirts currently dying in the tub 🙂 my plan is to uniquely tie dye shirts, stamp them with my own linocut designs, and have them available on my etsy!
