When the book World War III was published seven years ago and caused a sensation in 44 countries within 40 days, the statement it contained — “In a war in the Asia-Pacific, Russia will side with the United States against China.” — was met with great astonishment and widely dismissed as impossible.

The possibility of the “impossible” has already begun today.
In this war that the United States launched against Iran yesterday and that will end shortly, Russia is on the side of the U.S. Moreover, they even make a statement: “This war is contrary to law and morality.”

That’s all!

So much for a friend and ally!

Yet in the Russia–Ukraine war, Iran sent its domestically produced UAVs and drones to assist Russia — and had continued to support them.

“It is impossible that the Russians did not see this war approaching step by step.”

They could have sent a few S-300 and S-400 air defense batteries. But they did not!

Even if they had done so, the outcome of the war would not have changed; however, it could have boosted Iranian morale and demonstrated their friendship.

Air power can reduce the enemy’s ability to fight and damage morale, but it does not win wars. Wars are won by occupying territory and breaking a nation’s determination and will to fight.

This, in turn, requires a major ground operation.

Neither the U.S. nor Israel has the capability to enter and control the vast lands of Iran.

What they are currently doing is eliminating key figures of the regime and pushing the public toward despair in order to bring to power cadres more aligned with their interests.

Which outcome will prevail depends on the attitude and reaction of the Iranian people.
