#socialwork#burnout - besides the heavy caseload, the system that we work in has so many gaps & injustices, that it is tiring to keep on fighting when ppl with authority and power treat you like nothing....

What a joke of a society have we become!
People work their ass off to promote mental health and then there are these kind of 'people' and destroy everything in just a second. Evidently they have never lost someone due to mental health issues. #criminals
One thing that has become more visible in this pandemic is the necessity of #socialworkers in our society, and how forgranted other people (especially professionals) take our work.
It's funny how how due to this pandemic I've worked virtually with new members on the team #socialwork and probably will never meet them, as they resigned. It has been too long #COVID19....
When you feel like you made a difference #socialwork#Disability
It is a rare feeling as unfortunately we do not come across many positive situations in our work. #Thankful 🙏
"....in today's world, disability is not considered as a state of inability. Even the most successful scientist of the modern era, Stephen Hawking, has disabilities. Thus the day is observed every year to inculcate a sense of compassion among all human beings on Earth...
Sometimes it is highly outlined the challenges that we face due 2 #overprotection of persons with #disabilities...but the lack on understanding & knowledge about d rights of these people are even more challenged by many medical professionals (not all). Such a shame! #socialwork
How important it is to not only just act as an advocate for our clients and encourage them to speak up, but also to actually practise what we preach and stand up for our well being as well! #socialwork#disability#MentalHealth
Reading an article about a perpetrator who physically abused a young lady. That's a horrific crime which should always be punished. Then again 2 see the comments under the article pointing out the fact that the perpetrator is black & mentioning George Floyd is just disgusting!
Last year I managed to decrease my caffeine intake....only took few days in quarantine to go back to routine 😂 #socialwork#problems super looking forward to see my beautiful clients again ❣️
It’s World Social Work Day today and I’m spending it doing social work. I don’t want to crow about how amazing profession is because I work alongside nurses and doctors and OTs and psychologists and HCAs who are all wonderful and amazing. I don’t work as hard as family carers 1/4
