Amendments to the Ontario ESA regarding the licensing of recruiters and temporary help agencies has been proclaimed into force. As of July 1st, agencies & recruiters may begin their licensing application and have 6 months (to Jan 1/24) to become licensed. https://t.co/YxGM6aWOxF

[1/2] Ontario is the first in North America to require that naloxone kits be accessible in at risk-workplaces by June 1, 2023. We’re making it easier for businesses to comply these requirements. Eligible businesses can now get free Naloxone kits and training for a limited time.
After increasing OHSA fines and adding specific penalties for directors & officers in Oct 2022, the Ontario government does it again with Part 3 of the Working for Workers Act and a proposed increase of corporate fines to a max of $2million per offence.
