America let its guard down and billionaires picked a reality show host to be president and people fell for it.

Trump loves chaos and disruption, always has. He was the perfect choice for the fascist billionaires.

Trump is out of office and has been for almost four years. Yet, he gets more media attention than President Biden every damn day.

MAGA Republicans in Congress no longer listen to anyone but Trump and again he has no position to give orders to them.

A corrupt AF SCOTUS majority was bought by the same fascist billionaires and are now actually deciding if Trump is immune to being held accountable for criminal acts.

Only President Biden and Democrats are working for the people.

It amazes me to think that we can actually overcome the rot in this country through the ballot box as things stand now.

We have justices on the Supreme Court who have profited and likely will continue to profit from connections in cases before that court.

We have people still sitting in congress who have transgressed the 14th amendment with impunity
still sitting Congress.

We have a postmaster who is destroying the integrity of the Postal Service.

We have an ex-president who has been found with stolen classified documents in his personal residence who suggested to violent insurrectionists that his own VP be eliminated, has been convicted of sexual abuse and accused of same by at least 14 women, and has been criminally indicted in four separate cases: two brought by the special counsel Jack Smith, one by the Manhattan district attorney and the last by local prosecutors in Georgia.

Yet he has suffered no consequences except for financial and is being actively touted for president by
almost an entire political party.

We know how many people have been killed by irrational gun violence in this country and yet cannot get military grade weapons out of the hands of civilians.

We still have people attacked and murdered for their legitimate sexual identity.

We still have women prevented from owning their own bodies and making their own decisions for the future of their lives by those who promote forced birth.

I am not naïve. I understand how politics works and I know there will always be some quid pro quo in order to get the work of government done.

But I think we have reached the point where we are in danger of losing the foundation of America.

I am not suggesting any remedy other than the ballot box.

I’m expressing my frustration that apparently so many Americans are are willing
to overlook the staggering corruption pervading an entire political party with known and proven ties to Russia, which certainly is not a friend to America.

I’m expressing my frustration
that there are at least two people still sitting in Congress who openly encouraged an insurrection.

i’m expressing my frustration that we will likely have a corrupt, bordering on non compos mentis puppet
on the ballot for president once again and millions of people will vote for him.

I want my country back, better and stronger. I want the beautifully diverse rainbow of humanity to be safe and comfortable in my country.

I want hungry children to be fed and the homeless to be housed.

I want us to stop supporting genocide.

I want a country where #healthcare is a right, not a privilege.

I know as a country we will never be perfect, but surely we can be much better than this.

I want to be able to sing “America the Beautiful”and believe at least some of it is true.
