It was a pleasure to welcome Her Majesty the Queen to the Charles Dickens Museum, in celebration of our centenary year.

The Queen toured the historic rooms, met staff and volunteers and heard some readings by our patrons, Simon Callow and Miriam Margolyes.

The Queen has visited the Charles Dickens House Museum in London to celebrate 100 years since opening to the public.

During the visit, Her Majesty heard readings from the museum’s patrons, Miriam Margolyes and Simon Callow, who read extracts from Charles Dickens letters.
