@for_scottish@sapphyreblayze right so that means burn down innocent peoples houses, thats the response we all need when tragedies strike like this.
And being mad about that makes you a bad person
@StormOneActual@TheGumGun@turnami_ You don't need humans on both sides to make a stark comment on war. You can entirely focus on the morality of one side, if their methods are justified in the face of annihilation, or any number of other themes. Gundam doesn't need to be pigeonholed into just that
@StormOneActual@TheGumGun@turnami_ You implied that the game having aliens would hinder the gundam war critique trope. You don't know that just from watching it, you just know there's aliens and humanity is on the edge. And I didn't say you pulled it out of your ass, I'm not going to be so crass in this discussion
@StormOneActual@TheGumGun@turnami_ Yeah but you just pulled something out of thin air, complete assumption. If you wanna go off and say "I just don't like the way it looks, doesn't feel very gundam" then fair I can't say shit about that or any opinion based purely on what we saw. I'm on the fence with that stuff
@StormOneActual@TheGumGun@turnami_ Means and ends can fit in, halo explored that concept in most of their titles, albeit sometimes it was a bit shallow. Plus who knows what else they can throw in too
You're judging the game before you know anything else, I just think it looks cool and sometimes that's all you need
@VictusThraex This happens literally every time an AU is announced it feels like
"yeah but that's not Gundam" okay well it is, it's called gundam, and it looks different but so has nearly every other AU.
I'll be giving it a shot
