@JohnHyde1982 Do you really want to know? Try the wall at Guildford Mags/county court that was broken by a drunk driver about 3 years ago. And the broken gate mechanism into the car park that means a security guard is paid to man the gates whilst (18 months on) a replacement part sought
@childrenlawyer When my daughter criticises me, she starts the sentence with the word ‘Lovingly...’ I’ve often used it in court by mistake....but realised that there are worse ways of telling people that I am displeased
@CivilLitTweet Bring an extension cord! The way that the courts are now configured means that the plug for your laptop could be far away! And bring lunch.
@JoDQC @LOU15E_96 We’ve watched as a magpie has taken the ducklings off our pond today. We started with 12 ducklings last week. Down to 4 in spite of our best efforts.
Before demanding a paper bundle, please remember the young, under-paid, economically weak trainee/paralegal who has to break isolation and go into an unhygienic office to print off your documents. Suggest every judge and lawyer takes this opportunity to learn about e-bundles!
@Familoo Don’t blame the judge. Remember that they have to decipher the rubbish spelling and writing of the dodgy usher of the day. I suggest that you grab the pen and clipboard and write it clearly in your own fair hand!
@neill_bob@CommonsJustice Half the courts in my county have been closed. The ‘public consultation’ ignored our objections. Surprise surprise, we now have a shortage of court rooms.
@peternewman79 This is very interesting: but how sad that the Judges, who introduced FDRs into the court system, no longer have the time to conduct them in a way that inspires confidence.
