Great primary #citizenship is “non statutory but important” yet too many schools don’t teach it -the ‘evolution’ required; make Citizenship a statutory subject at ks1&2 as well as ks3&4 - so no child misses out @ACitizenshipT @BeckyFrancis7 @bphillipsonMP

The NC may full but in 2014 Citizenship was cut the most, has the smallest specification of requirements & already has financial education, sustainability, oracy - no to ‘adding’ content; yes to stat NC, clarity & quality in the subject & teaching @BeckyFrancis7@ACitizenshipT

Very good to meet and discuss the importance of Citizenship & @Ofstednews inspection of Citizenship as a curriculum subject with National Director Chris Russell & HMI Roary Pownall today - together we continue to improve quality of curriculum & teaching in schools @ACitizenshipT
We were overwhelmed by the volume and quality of nominations for the first ever ACT Teaching Awards- we will be contacting shortlisted nominees very soon!
Thank you to all of our teaching community for your commitment to #TeachingCitizenship - enjoy the well earned break!
@chameleonpde @Missaahistory I would not put PSHE into the three year plan as it will create confusion. Both are explicit separate subjects and should be treated that way.
