The stakes this midterm could not be higher. That's why when I started running, I promised I would drop out unless President Trump supported me so that Republicans could avoid wasting resources on a needless primary.

s.88(1)- " A political appointee at any level shall not be a voting delegate or be voted for at the convention, congress, and primaries of any political party for the purpose of the nomination of candidates for any election."

The above implies, that a political appointee shall not vote or be voted for at the Party’s Primaries.

The section did not give any timeline within which the appointee must resign before contesting the Party’s Primaries.

Therefore March 31st 2026 is simply President Tinubu's timeline and directive to his aides and heads of MDAs. It is not the law.

The law is that, on the day of the party's primaries you must not be a political appointee.

So it implies you can resign a 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀.

Watched the Al Jazeera interview with Bwala Daniel on Nigeria's security and reforms. While not a bad outing, the anchor gave little room for him to freely express on key issues. We miss Ajuri Ngelale. Since his resignation, we've felt the gap in the quality of discourse he brought. He would've been rock solid for this conversation. #Nigeria

Events has shown that, the New generation of fathers, no longer bother wether it is all girls children or boys. We just want the resources to take good care of the kids and raise responsible children. Gone are those days when it must be a boy. I know of a friend who said no more children and that he is settling with the two daughters he has ( Family is still cool and peaceful, no pressure for a male child).

After all, as time evolved, most female children have shown to be more emotional, sacrificial and caring towards family.

According to reports available online, Dangote Cement has significantly increased its tax payments to the Nigerian Federal Government, with reported payments of ₦900 billion in 2025.

The company is a major tax contributor, paying ₦412.86 billion between 2020 and 2022 and over ₦400 billion in 2024, with Aliko Dangote noting that the FG receives 52 kobo from every ₦1 of revenue generated.

Could this be the reason for the constant increase in the price of cement?
