Sometimes on Google Maps little numbers show up in the middle of empty lots, as if there's a building there.
Those numbers are the addresses of buildings demolished long ago, but the lots still legally exist complete with their old outline.

Public safety is essential for everything progressives care about. People with resources or options will not stay in a place where they are or fear becoming victims of crime. If we want walkability, transit, flourishing cities or a high trust society, we need to deal with crime.
