The first frame is where children used to learn at Masibinta Secondary School, Binga in 2022. We helped them finish one block then we got a $45k grant from @IOM_USA and built another in Jan 2023. The pass rate in 2023 was 0%. In 2024 it is 13.2%. Infrastructure moves needles
Following on to the 2 school blocks that we finished at Masibinta in Binga, one of which was through a grant by @IOM_USA, today @CitizInitiative & @IOMZimbabwe delivered a generous donation of textbooks worth $8K to the school. We are thankful to all of you who have helped us transform this school from under-the-tree environment to a decent school.
2/2 Its a total of 660 textbooks covering a wide range of subjects for form 1’s to 4’s. These efforts are meant to improve the learning conditions for the learners. In the last exams the school recorded 0% pass-rate.

Finally! We were hosted by the SDC at Masibinta together with other stakeholders for a final inspection of the building. All stakeholders are happy with the product. Furniture was delivered late into the night. Let the learning begin! Twalumba! Binga see you soon!

1/2 Masibinta pretty much done. Ceiling & electricity done. Chairs & desks should be delivered this week and the students can have this new block to themselves. When we first visited the school in 2021, there was only 1 block. We are leaving them with 3. From 60 to 180 capacity.
Its one week before schools open and we are on schedule to handover the completed classroom block at Masibinta Sec School. Learners will enjoy the wonderful learning environment especially given that last term they were conducting their lessons in the open. Thank you @IOM_USA

Beam filling done! We are onto plastering now. We shall be done in the next few days. We are happy to know that next term two classes will move into this new building. To everyone giving a hand to the project we are forever grateful, twalumba!
