Every word …. These riots are more than thuggery: they’re the outcome of 14 years of Tory race-baiting | Far right | The Guardian https://t.co/psm1DhMHPF
They don’t. Believe me. Why do you talk such utter shite? And why are you morphing into a sovereign individual
anarcho-capitalist narcissist with fascist leanings? Some journey you’ve been on.
Nigel farage wants you to think that Britain has an immigration problem.
It doesn't.
Britain had a problem with millionaires hoarding wealth, egged on by politicians and the press.
Britain has a problem with racism.
Britain has a @Nigel_Farage problem.
RT if you agree.
In health and safety you get taught about risk assessments. The idea is to identify the risk, and make changes so that the risk is either negated or mitigated. It seems that 'angry staff, collapse of collegiality, potential strikes, are not risks associated with 150 redundancies
Fears that our employers decision to sack 1 in 6 academics from the University of Hull will ultimately bring the University to its knees. For some reason, never explained, senior managers prefer to spend money on branding, software, and campus in London. #VoteYes#SaveJobAtHull
In Limbo has co-signed this important letter urging Keir Starmer to '...take quick steps to fix the “broken” Home Office Settlement Scheme for EU citizens who were in the country before Brexit to avoid a repeat of the Windrush scandal...'

Must watch from the chairman of the British Medical Association, Phil Banfield,
"84% of locum GPs in England are struggling to find work"
"A third are being forced out of the NHS entirely, driven out by a cheapening of the medical workforce"
"The substitution of GPs with alternatives that superficially seem less expensive, but in reality, cost lives"
"A lost generation of GPs when the country needs them more than ever"
"To have highly qualified doctors turning to other jobs to earn a living while GP practices can't meet the demands placed on them is simply bonkers"
"The state of General Practice in the UK is a mess, and it has been created by those in power, who have not only watched but aided and abetted the decline of General Practice"
"The ARRS scheme in England which prohibits practices from hiring doctors is a trojan horse to replace and substitute doctors"
"Where we need a physio, fund a physio. Where we need a paramedic, fund a paramedic. Where we need a doctor, fund a doctor"
"Why has the medical establishment caved into the governments attempts to reduce costs at the expense of people's health?"
Thank you @TheBMA for standing up for public health 👏
I don’t speak of this often but listening to Nigel Farage in tonight’s debate I must.
My dad was an immigrant. From the moment he arrived in this country he worked hard every day in labouring jobs. My most vivid recollection is of his tired & weary eyes and oil stained overalls when he came home after a 12 hour factory shift. Even then he was able to raise a smile for us. He was kind & gentle & loved my mum with passion. He raised a family of 4 & instilled in each of us a fierce sense of right & wrong & love of country. His proudest day was when he became a British citizen. I recall him with love & affection & pride & carry the lessons he taught me in my heart every day. If it were not for my dad I would not be a lawyer today & in his memory I work hard everyday to make a difference for as many as I can. Immigration is a beautiful thing & don’t let charlatans like Farage tell you otherwise ❤️

@ProfBrianCox@kingstongate Spot on! The UK is a sinking ship (Titanic), and those steering the ship did not listen to common sense and didn't see what was right in front of them (the iceberg). Brexit has been and still is a major disaster.
The reason the UK will have the lowest growth in the G7 next year is Brexit. We're not going to reverse the decline until we begin to remove the barriers - economic, social, scientific - that we chose to erect with the rest of our continent. That's not rocket science. Just say it
The frustrating thing to me about the quote from this article is that the columnist knows, and the Conservatives know, and Labour knows, that Brexit was an awful economic and geopolitical error. This was obvious in my view in 2016 and it’s ten times more obvious now, for the reasons outlined in the article. The issue is that none of the above have yet summoned up the courage to explain to the electorate that we really have no option but to rejoin the single market and customs union as soon as possible. Europe has to strengthen and work together in an increasingly uncertain world, and the U.K. is a vital part of Europe. Everyone in any sort of position of responsibility or power knows it. Basically our political class is bullshitting the electorate. And as I’ve said before, you can convince people to vote to abolish gravity but they will be very annoyed when they hit the ground.
Brexit took us out of the Single Market for Goods, Services, Capital, People, Workers, Digital Services & Energy. Almost all of our problems right now can be traced back to that terrible decision. And things won't get any better until we rejoin it.
In 2010, 70% of you were satisfied with the NHS.
Now, only 24% are.
14 years of Tory government understaffing, underfunding & private sector outsourcing have trashed the NHS into a travesty of the service we want to give you.
It is heartbreaking & so disgustingly wrong 😔
