The Government must do better on gambling reform - its partial ad ban is NOT what the Murphy Report recommended based on the evidence presented to the committee.
The crossbench is united and energised to work with the Government to improve its weak gambling reforms.

A growing number of regional communities stepping up to be heard in Canberra by backing quality Independent candidates for 2025 federal election.

The cat is officially out of the bag and it is with great humility I accept @Voices4Forrest
endorsement as the Community Independent for Forrest at the next federal election.
It's time the South West had a strong, capable, Independent voice in Canberra

Labor just gave more public money to coal & gas.
The Greens tried to stop the NAIF, an Abbott-era coal and gas slush fund, being used for projects like Middle Arm and Beetaloo.
But Labor and the Liberals blocked our amendment and topped up the NAIF by another $2 billion. 😠
@BlackwellJ_@helenhainesindi This is so disappointing for regional queer people, not just in Wangaratta but the many surrounding regional communities. And especially for the organisers and supporters who I know work tirelessly to build safe and inclusive events and spaces in the region.

Very excited to have been involved in the writing of this story #TheIndiWay Read how and why the communities of Indi sparked a social and political movement by actively participating in democracy. #independentsday is no fluke. Out on 2 May #voicesforindi#scribepublications
@NeilMcMahon Same. I’ve just moved to Perth. Attended a rental property viewing of a very small apartment with 55 other people today. I was one of four masks-wearers there.
@kylieedo@Aust_Parliament@helenhainesindi You’re right, I (& many) can’t afford to dine like this or buy quality local produce rn, so how must that affect farmers/growers/makers, their families & their staff. Produce festivals & dinners are needed, as are markets, to expose these products to as many consumers as possible
@kylieedo@Aust_Parliament@helenhainesindi As someone who worked in hospitality for 17 years running events just like this, $159 for 6 courses (with truffles) and $209 with matched wines is cheap. It’s about promoting the regions produce, it’ll likely break even.
@sovereignbrah Shinzo Abe has retired as PM. His party, the Liberal Democratic Party, are still in power with a different PM. Shinzo Abe was not campaigning for himself, rather his party who want to win more seats at Sunday’s election.
No facts support your claim this was China’s doing.
