I am starting up a twitter to post birds I see in and around Norfolk, Suffolk and occasionally Cambridgeshire.
And to post my photos for others to enjoy
@Craigshaw333 Great shots!! Were these at Lowestoft? Saw a pair hanging out there by the Turbine at the start of spring and wondered if they'd breed along that area.
Wood Sandpiper showed well at Cley 12/05/24. Came close to Daukes Hide a few times but spent a lot of its time on the island closest, but at the far end.
Purple Heron showed brilliantly off the Wiveton Bank yesterday afternoon. Teasing us with 2 second views from the channel, then came flying out in the open and stood there for a few minutes before flying further into the field and down into a ditch.
Great views of the Eastern Subalpine Warbler the other day at Holme NOA. Showed very well for short scattered bursts. Unfortunately photos aren't incredible but better than I had hoped
@CleyBirds He's very showy! I went back today as didn't have loads of time yesterday, and it put on a great show! Singing and fly catching. Absolutely brilliant.
A brilliant day over at RSPB Frampton Marsh last Sunday! Just incredible views of the Lesser Yellowlegs, which at one point came within 10 inches of us as it walked up the fence line of the car park! Surprised to see how tame the Ruff were as well. They gave brilliant views.
Spoonbills at Brancaster this morning from the car!! Unfortunately the light was shocking but I quite like these moody photos.
Best viewed from the car park. Just so happened there was no traffic which allowed me to stop on the road just down from the car park. Be sensible.
