Adulthood humbles you. It'll turn you into a prayer warrior without you even noticing. As you grow, you start to understand that nothing in this life works without God.
I love David because he was so brutally honest with God about his feelings. He didn’t pretend to have it all together. He cried, questioned, felt afraid, angry and discouraged, yet he kept bringing it all back to God. That reminds me that I don’t have to hide my feelings from Him either. I can come as I am, pour out my heart, ask the hard questions and still trust Him. God can handle the messy prayers too. 🤍

I heard someone say, satan got Adam and Eve to fix their eyes on one tree when God had already given them an entire garden, think about that. The enemy didn't have to convince them that they had nothing. He just had to make them forget everything that they already had. And he still, till this day, uses the same strategy. He gets us to focus on relationships we don't have, the job that we don't have, the opportunity we don't have, the healing we haven't seen yet. Meanwhile, we are blind to the countless prayers god has already answered. Gratitude isn't pretending you don't want more, it's refusing to let what you don't have make you forget the goodness of God that's already surrounding you.
I believe traumatic things are meant to build or break you if you let it, I enjoy all the nights I cried all the times I felt sad or pain it’s a beautiful thing to remember in the future when you get everything you deserve and want, you get to finally cry tears of joy
“I take my L’s all by myself, nobody else there’s just myself, I gotta handle it myself, I’ve been mishandling myself.” I felt that to my core 🥺
