The intersection of Frisco Street and Cobb Hill Drive will close for about seven months starting Monday, October 12, as crews construct a roundabout. The roads leading to the intersection will close at 9 a.m. and is expected to remain closed until late May.
The closure will require many parents and students to use alternate routes to and from Memorial High School after Fall Break. As shown on the attached map, the northernmost school driveway on Frisco Street will be closed during construction. Vehicles will not be able to approach the school from the north. All traffic must enter from the south.
During the closure:
- Drivers coming from neighborhoods east of Preston Road should use Eldorado Parkway and turn north onto Frisco Street to reach Memorial High School. They should use the same route when returning home.
- Drivers coming from neighborhoods west of the Dallas North Tollway should turn right onto the southbound Dallas Parkway frontage road, use the u‑turn lane before Eldorado Parkway, and then turn right onto Newton Drive.
- To return home, they should take Newton Drive to the northbound Dallas Parkway frontage road and turn left or use the u‑turn at Panther Creek Parkway.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the work zone and to find an alternate route in advance. Drivers can also use the @waze app to navigate road closures.

Traffic patterns on Teel Pkwy. were modified today between Fields Pkwy. and Rockhill Pkwy. Traffic has been shifted to allow drivers to use the new northbound side of the bridge.
Previously, both directions shared the west half of the road, but after the switch, northbound and southbound vehicles now travel on opposite sides of the median.
For now, only one lane in each direction is open as work continues on the new bridge.
Drivers are urged to use caution in the construction zone as people adjust to the new traffic patterns.

With the potential for rain this week, keep this in mind. Wet roads can make it harder to stop and maintain control. When driving in rainy conditions, reduce your speed, increase your following distance, and give yourself extra time to stop.
Slow down, watch for standing water, and increase your following distance. #DriveFriendlyFrisco
