Thomas Telford's Grade I listed Menai Bridge opened #OnThisDay 1826. It was the longest suspension bridge in the world at the time. The wooden deck was replaced with steel in 1893 and the wrought iron chains with steel in 1938.

Great visit to @BrunelMuseum in Rotherhithe, learning more about the great Marc Brunel and the Thames Tunnel. It closes for refurbishment at the end of the year so make a visit soon. Also reminded me of my children’s favourite Dangermouse villain - Isambard King Kong Brunel!
