Plenty of non-English speakers learned English better with games.

People have also chosen their irl careers because of video games.

@BitterMarxist @SocialistTalks There were a lot of officers of the Russian Imperial Army that were career officers (aka not conscripts.) Some of them defected, some of them didnt. The Soviets also remained a lot of Tsarist elements because they also knew that getting rid of experienced men hurts them more.

Even the Soviets and 1960s China still had some luxury access depending on wealth of the state.

@sirrelkinstein @USA_Polling Not true at all. FDR privately had wanted more US involvement but the isolationists at the time, were dominant in US affairs. Pretty much as soon as Japan and Germany invaded, FDR was already trying to find ways to send arms and supplies to Europe and countering Japan.

@uncle_authority 1) US Lend Lease was a major help with supply lines shortages for both the UK and the USSR. Both Churchill and Stalin acknowledged this. War economics win wars.

2) The IJA was bayonetting babies in Nanjing if you didn't know. The US intervening during WW2 is justified.

@OssiBisZumEnde @andivperedpowr2 @Frenchlet1 People forget that the USSR did and tried invading former Russian Empire lands during the Civil War, continued forced Russification of many of the Siberians, and had beef with other Communist countries that disagreed with their definitions of Marxism.

It should be taken seriously because reminder that safety laws are written in blood.
