CSHA Men’s Representative side earned a hard fought 3-3 draw against a strong British Police side in their first match at HMS Temeraire. After being behind for much of the match, 3 late goals from Penalty Corners ensured a share of the spoils. CS take on the Navy at 12noon today.
CSHA are saddened to report the recent passing of Joyce Cole at the age of 99. A stalwart of Civil Service Hockey for many decades and former President of the CSWHA, Joyce’s contribution to the game can’t be understated. She will be remembered fondly by many in the hockey family.
The Hockey Museum have just published a fascinating feature on the history of Civil Service Hockey, substantially based on research undertaken by our former and current Presidents Ernie Vickery and Helen Skelton.
