Pakistani tv is showing images of scrape marks on the Karachi runway, purportedly caused by the engines of PIA flight #PK8303. The A320 made a go-around after the engines touched the runway and substequently impacted buildings when both engines failed on the second approach.
Only 2 of the 98 onboard of #PK8303 have been found alive in the wreckage. There are reports the A320 might have attempted a gear-up landing but aborted when both engines contacted the runway. CCTV shows a nose-high attitude before impact.
Swift Air Boeing 737-800 (N820TJ, built 1998) was seen landing at San Diego Intl AP (KSAN), CA with parts of its lower vertical tail missing. It appears those parts separated during flight from Victorville to KSAN. @dougkempf @JustJettingThru
