Developer evolution:
2023: “AI is just autocomplete”
2024: “It helps, but I still write the real code”
2025: “Claude, scaffold this”
2026: “Claude, build it. I’ll review the PR.”Next year won’t be “can you code.”
It’ll be “can you supervise 5 agents without shipping a security hole.
”If your only skill is syntax, you’re already late.
Most “AI developers” in 2026 are just prompt tourists.
They open Cursor, type “build the app,” screenshot the first working UI, then disappear when the auth flow eats production.
Writing code is cheap now.
Owning the blast radius is not.
If you can’t run 3 agents in parallel without them trampling the same branch, you’re not building. You’re gambling.
I think is the other way around, the ones using native harnesses are missing out on so much that you can do by controlling the harnesses as much as you can yourself. At the end of the day, is all about your preference anyway. Some people love seafood, and some are allergic to it lol

🚀 Just launched CrewCoder is a coding-agent harness you run yourself.
Durable sessions you can resume, checkpoint, and rewind. Detached goals that keep working after you close the TUI. Codex, Claude, OpenCode, Grok, OpenRouter, and the rest. Approvals and a sandbox so it doesn’t get a blank check. SDK and fleet if you want it on a VPS.

4. Security is a setting, not a vibe.
Approval modes, sandbox, trust tiers, redaction. After that: named workers, crews, extensions, and a TypeScript SDK if you want agents on a VPS. and way more!!
That's the idea behind CrewCode.
You become the lead developer.
Your AI agents become the crew.
CrewCode gives the whole operation a Mission Control.
And it's completely free + open source.
What happens when you have 4 AI coding agents working on the same codebase?
Chaos. 😂
That's why I built CrewCode.
- One Mission Control.
- Multiple AI agents.
- Isolated Git worktrees.
- Full developer oversight.
