If large manufacturing businesses cannot cope without certainty given to them by policy, then let's agree to scrap Net Zero targets immediately, and repeal the Climate Change Act.

The "uncertainty" is driven by the facts that:

1. No government, no political party, no MP, no think tank or wonk, no civil servant, no spad, no academic or research organisation nor even any professional prognosticator has been able to explain how Net Zero can or will be done. Only the targets exist.

2. No promised upside of the green agenda has been or can be delivered. But only the targets are legally enforceable. And no MP or minister has been willing to explain to the public that they will be paying for it, no matter the cost.

3. MPs have not bothered to check the public agree with the policy agenda, including the blank cheque that is required from the public to meet the targets.

Given these stark facts, any policy that seemingly gave domestic manufacturers any 'certainty' would be a lie.

The public, given the opportunity, could quite reasonably say that they had been misled, and they no longer want to pay through the nose for the green agenda, which has given them no benefit in return, and they are quite fed up with the costs destroying their lives.

And even that assumes that Net Zero is technologically feasible. If it isn't -- as seems very likely to be the case -- then any 'certainty' given by politicians to manufacturers by way of policy is a DOUBLE lie.

So, let's stop the lies. And let's focus on what level of certainty can be achieved, economically, politically, and technologically.

Stop Net Zero now. Make that the agreement between the voter, the government and politicians, and businesses.

If manufacturers want to make Net Zero products, and they can find a market for them, then nobody would stop them. So let consumers decide for themselves whether or not they want EVs, heat pumps and recycled knickers. And let voters decide whether or not they want a future of eco-austerity.

Speaking in the European parliament, German MEP Christine Anderson, implores the people of the world to meet any attempt at resurrecting Covid tyranny with mass non-compliance.

"They're already bringing it all back, and I would really like for you, the people, to not go along. Simply say no. They want you to wear a mask? Say no. They want you to put in another mRNA shot? Say no. They want to impose a curfew on you? Say no."

"That's really all you have to do... Once you've made it clear to them that you will no longer go along, they cannot scare you anymore. Because as long as you're afraid of what they might do if you don't comply, they have power over you. Take the power away from them. Simply say no."
