I was told this is “to be expected” and to return when it gets worse, but nobody could explain what separation is considered unacceptable. Help

I ordered an item on 19thMay (SD40000134450001) informed it would be arriving via Evri on the 22nd May. Didnt arrive informed it would arrive the follow day,again nothing, Sports Direct doing nothing about in spite of my many msgs/ emails. Appalling service!!
