Ahhhh the different views of 8 year olds and 15 year olds has been v v interesting!!! Also the difference in what they both expect from a dining out experience....Definitely changed our design perspective
So interesting to watch. @BBCTheOneShow. We have been holding focus groups with primary and secondary school students to gather their thoughts on lunch breaks pre and post Covid. And also what they think about eating out. Happy to share our thoughts #schoolmeals#schooldining
This is the Wilderness Restaurant. We were so proud to work on this project with the architect and main contractor, providing technical and practical solutions that helped achieve the clients conceptual vision >> https://t.co/Tl5d6uh8M3
This week we’re sharing designs that the team are proud of. First up is this sketch-style visual. The brief was to update an existing counter layout to allow for a multifunctional counter that could change throughout the day. This shows a refresh, more space & a new combi oven.
Market and food hall dining is as popular as ever, even in the current climate and food display is such a big part of the experience. Pre-Covid we asked one of our designers @MichaelABDA to come up with a conceptual design. Check out the full concept >> https://t.co/pGFtiB8zvf
As part of our design work with schools we wanted to know how pupils felt about the return to school, especially their lunchtimes. Find out what they had to say in this article on @PSCMagazine >> https://t.co/25Vo24Eoll
This week we are showcasing some of our B&I projects. The story behind this design at Solera House was the automotive industry, so we created subtle patterns which reflect the design of car tyres and grills within the counter fascia and timber uprights. https://t.co/JE09TEs8gc
Our Arnott’s designs needed to draw the traditional senior and young family regular trade as well as younger clients with disposable income. Here’s some insight into what we created for this client.
With cinemas reopening we are putting the spotlight on one of our design projects - Curzon Cinema in Sheffield. It’s built in a former bank hall and Grade 2 listed building. Our lead designer is from Sheffield and loved bringing the city’s heritage into the design.
With the summer holidays now upon us (really!!) we have spent the last week really focusing on the work we do in education. Some of our school projects for 2020 had been finalised pre Covid 19, so we have been working with them to ensure the installation meets all the guidelines.
Here’s a little preview of a school project we’ve been working on recently. This was designed pre-Covid19 but we’ve been working with the client to ensure adaptations can be made to meet requirements for the September return.
In our children’s focus groups yesterday we asked them to think like a designer for 30 minutes. It was interesting to hear how some children wanted minimalist designs but with stronger colours for the furniture. We loved learning more about what children want in a dining hall.
We’ve loved chatting to groups of children via video today to learn about what they want from a school lunchtime dining experience. Some fascinating comments! One was how much they loved seeing chefs cooking when dining out.
