Hans Hermansen, age 18, was a deck boy on the SS Hovland from Norway and was injured in the #HalifaxExplosion He had his left leg amputated and suffered a second hemorrhage. He finally died nine days after the Explosion on Dec 15, 1917. #DYK #HExD #HalifaxNS
