What a jam-packed day of marine science! 🌊 Our @austmus fish team and marine invertebrates team pulled out all the stops. Students & the general public came by to see our live specimens, the famous Mr Blobby, pufferfish, upside-down jellyfish and much more 🐟🪼🪸
What is a seamount? Why and how do we collect specimens? And what did we find? 🔎
@ClaireRowe28@austmus, who was recently onboard the RV Investigator, helps us answer these questions! Find out more here 👇

Great job AM team! Our first beam trawl from 3,600 m came up in the early hours of the morning, and the science team from @CSIRO, @austmus, and @museumsvictoria wasted no time at all in recovering, sorting, sampling, and preserving our catch!
